I too have the same problem on my 86 Savage. Being in New Zealand where we tend to fix things rather buy new parts I will try to find out another alternative.The Britten bike is made here where I live and I may approach them 4 a solution to what seems to be a common fault.Mine has been repaired before but probably in a home workshop hence it's broken teeth off the idling gear and flywheel gear.
